I am hoping you guys can give me some pricing advice for my MacBook pro which I am seriously thinking about selling to upgrade to one of the shiny new ones.

I have a 17" 2.66ghz intel core i7 MacBook pro with the anti glare screen and a 500gb 7200 rpm drive. I have just bought an 8gb crucial ram upgrade kit that I am unsure weather it's worth fitting or sending back (would cost £58 to fit as the comp is under warranty still on top of the £72 I paid for it). The laptop is still under warranty until the start of June, but at present I have not got AppleCare for it.

To cut a long story short I got this from apple after a horrible set of experiences with their customer services as a replacement for my 27" iMac that had really bad yellow screen bleed issues. So it only actually cost me £1687.99.

I work in the photo industry and rent my laptop out on a lot of jobs plus use it for retouching etc, so I really think I would benefit from one of the new MacBook pros, but am unsure what sort of price I would get for this computer (it's in nearly perfect condition with all boxes etc) and if I should bother getting the extra ram fitted or just send it back for a refund. I am also a bit vague on the whole AppleCare thing, because it's still in it's original years warranty if I sell it can the buyer get that if they want or do I have to buy it and transfer it to them??

I live in London and would like to get advice on a realistic price I could expect to sell this for and where the best place would be. I would be looking at upgrading to the top of the line 17" again I think.

Thanks in advance for any help.
