MacBook pro problem

Hi,
When I opened my MBP (non unibody) it didden't wake from sleep mode, so I took out the battry and put it back again, but now when I press the power button I can hear the hard drive and fans as usual, but nothing shows up on the screen, I can't even hear the start up tune, anybody know what the problem may be?

does your mbp show anything on a external display ?

have you reset your SMC ?

Sounds like a bad videocard/logic board which is currently covered under a apple KB article.

Thanks for your reply, I tried resetting the smc from the instructions in the link you posted, it still won't properly start? I think I'll just take it to the Apple authorized reseller I bought it from, tommorow morning

No startup chime worries me that it is the logic board.
