I just bought a new Macbook Pro with the 7 core, largest hard drive etc. but for some reason the internet is really slow and loses it's internet connection constantly. What could be the reason? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the Internet work well on your new iPhone 5? If you're not sure, you can test it using the Speedtest.net app. If it's working poorly on the iPhone as well, then the issue is likely with your connection and not your new MBP (or iPhone, for that matter).
