I am considering a MBPro from Apple Refurb and see these two models for the same price of $1269.00 and wonder whether more memory or more flash storage is better:

Refurbished 13.3-inch MacBook Pro 2.7GHz Dual-core Intel i5 with Retina Display

Originally released March 2015
13.3-inch (diagonal) Retina display; 2560-by-1600 resolution at 227 pixels per inch

16GB of 1866MHz LPDDR3 onboard memory
128GB PCIe-based flash storage1
720p FaceTime HD Camera

Intel Iris Graphics 6100

Another vote for option 2. I'd rather get 256GB of storage over 16GB of ram. Its highly unlikely that you'll actually need that much ram in the first place.

Most people don't need more than 8GB of RAM. 128GB of storage definitely isn't enough. At least in my opinion.

Neither, unless you need a MBP for immediate needs. I suggest waiting and buying new MBP models that are updated in 2016 with brand new internals.
