Hi, I’m about to buy a MacBook Pro! The 13 inch base model with 512GB, and 16GB RAM or the 2.4 with 512GB and 8 GB RAM. Which do you think will be better and more future proof.
I currently have a very slow 2011 15 inch MacBook Pro.
Thank you

At this point its hard to justify any mac with less then 16GB, I'm sure 8 will run fine, though you don't mention what you'll be using the mac for. Office apps, and surfing the web won't need anything more then however.

To me just make sure you get the the SSD that you want since, its not upgradeable I went with the 13 niche base model 8 GB or ram and upgrade the SSD to 1TB

Not for nothing, the ram isn't upgradable as well

Thanks for your reply. Will just be using it for photo editing, light video editing, might have multiple apps open etc Is the RAM upgrade worth it? Don’t want this MacBook Pro to be slow after a year
