Hey, I have a MacBook Pro 13-inch and I recently had to reinstall OS X completely. Once I signed in with my iCloud email...Apple sent me an email saying that my Apple ID was used to sign in to a MacBook Pro which is my MacBook Pro. Why is Apple sending me these messages?

Is it because I have to unregister my MacBook Pro and re-register it?

Thanks for the help in advance :)

My guess is that they send you that email in case your laptop was stolen.
