The hub of stupidity
Bought a MBP on craigslist knowing it had a bad optical drive. Model:

2.2 GHz Santa Rosa
128 MB NVIDA GPU

Going to buy a new drive, but the only problem is I don't know the model number. On numerous websites, like www.ifixit.com , you can select your model when looking for parts, and it always gives me:

UJ-857-C or UJ-867

I search to buy either of these models, and they are at very different price points. My question: is there any way to tell which model I need? The info isn't in system profiler, and I want to know if I can find this out without actually opening the laptop up to look at it.

Any help?

thanks
