For my Mid 2010 Mac Book Pro 15" upgrade. Just to be clear, this ram is compatible with my model?

AND

Is Kingston a good brand? I know that it's very respected but don't know if its any good.

Yes, it is compatible, yes, it is good, for which it is respected, and you will see an increase in available open documents and applications, or if you have a RAM hungry application, less paging/swapping.
