Hello, I have a 2.33 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro with currentle 2 GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM... I want 4GB of Ram on my macbook pro.. where can I purchase this and what kind to i need? Can u give me a link for the ram u suggest me. I dont want it to be overly priced like apples website.

Check out Crucial.com and do the system scanner. This website will determine everything you need based on the system it automatically detects you are using

Using this myself ATM in my MBP : CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 667 . I did have an issue with the first pair I received but returned to Newegg at no cost to me and got a working set back in a couple of days. Works fine. My review is somewhere on there in the bunch of reviews of it. $35 after a $40 rebate.

Here's others from Newegg if you don't want to do the rebate thing that are relatively cheap Other RAM, can't vouch for those myself, though they seem alright.

The ones at MacSales is the ones i was looking at. I talked to a guy online from macsales and he told me that OWC was a good ram to buy. What are your opinions on that?

I like the last one best, because it has lots of technical descriptions which sounds cool lol, like 'CAS: 4.0 Optimized SPD , Low Noise 8-Layer PCB'

Hahah...yea it sounds good..I just dont know what all that means!

CAS is the latency of the memory. Tests show that CAS 4 offers about a 5% improvement over CAS 5 (standard) memory. The "best" brand, i.e. the one used by apple, is samsung, although most their party ram that meets the specs will work. I recommend OWC.

Between all those you linked, I would go with one of the two from OWC. Truth is, almost all of them are going to be about the same, still I would pay the extra $5 and get the low latency OWC for $50 even though the difference is probably not noticeable for most.

Is the 17-inch Macbook Pro capable for 4Gb ram??
