I have a macbook pro laptop that I purchased about a year ago. Lately, when I am running it off of the battery, even if it has well over 50% of its battery life left, the laptop will randomly turn off. When I turn it back on, it works fine. However, these unexpected outages are somewhat annoying. Does anyone have any idea as to why my computer has started doing this? Thanks.

I don't think so. It's usually sitting on my lap and my lap isn't burning.

I get this problem with my blackbook. My sister was using it, o the battery, and she said it had 43 mins of battery left (or so it said) and then it just shut down. She turned it back on, and it was fine.

This has happened to me on quite a few occassions (especially annoying when you're playing poker online and you have a good hand!)

If anyone knows a fix, that would be great. (My MB is 11months old- would apple replace the battery if this problem persists?)
