Hello,

My Macbook Pro didn't come with a boot disc and it doesn't have an optical drive.

If I were to reformat it, how would I do so? An external drive? Do I contact Apple for a boot disc?

Also, on a side note, I will be Bootcamping my Macbook with Windows. If I want, can I delete the Windows side at any point? Or do I have to reformat everything? I ask this because I may have to reallocate partition sizes in the future.

Thanks! :)

You can conveniently format (clean install) OS X Mavericks via Internet. All you need is an Internet connection. Once you establish a connection, all you need to do is to follow on screen instructions and enjoy a cup of coffee or two 'till it automatically downloads and installs everything. Once done, you set up your "account", and then launch App Store to select and install the programs you want (Keynote, Pages, Numbers, iPhoto, etc.)
