Greetings,

Just opened this account so I apologize if I should be asking this question elsewhere in the message board.

I dropped my Macbook Pro not too long ago. It makes beeping sounds in successions of three's when I try to turn it on. It won't turn on at all. I've been hesitant to take it to the Mac Store because I know costs will be exorbitant since my warranty has run out. I was just curious as to how much repairing my Macbook Pro would cost? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Asking the Genius bar is free and doesn't mean you are locked into them repairing it.

3 Beeps = RAM issue typically

** A series of repetitive 3-Beeps is a notification of a RAM issue.. since you dropped it, it could simply be 'Out of Place' but there may be a bigger issue..

Hard to tell from here, but a simple opening and re-seating may solve the problem!! GooD Luck :apple:
