I'd like to upgrade my Macbook Pro (2010) hard disk

I currently have the stock 320gb 5400 Hitachi HTS545032B9SA02

I wouldn't mind a SSD but don't want hardly any space for more money, what is the next best thing? around 320gb is fine.

Can i buy any 7200rpm drive and stick it in or do i need specific compatible drives?

I'm looking for a good performance drive, any recommendations?

I use the Seagate hybrid drive. 500GB storage and it boots and launches my apps like an SSD.

If you're looking for a cheap 7200rpm drive: the 320GB Samsung HM320JI is a good and fast one: http://www.google.com/products/cata...a=X&ei=Ch8tTsT-FMS6-Ab4nOjsDQ&ved=0CFYQ8wIwAA

I like the look of the Hybrid drive but seen this on another forum;

Don't waste your money on the Seagate hybrid, unless you want all the pain. Seagate is still having issues, I had one, and had to reinstall several times, it keep losing the partition table. Seagate said it should be fixed soon, but nothing yet.

Are you having any such issues?

there are always people that have issues. If this is the only person then I wouldn't worry about, but if you keep seeing the issue on multiple forums then that's a different story
