I'm having trouble deciding weather I should get the 256GB Flash Storage MBPr or the 512GB Flash Storage MBPr. I have an iMac (Mid 2011) which is 1TB but I have only used about 100GB and a MacBook Air (Mid 2012) which is 128GB but I have only used 30GB. I'm wondering if the difference of the 2.6GHz to the 2.8GHz is notable. Thanks!

Went with the 128GB MBPr (Mid 2014.) Thanks everybody!

Based on your storage habits, it doesn't even sound like you'd need 256 let alone 512.

Little to no noticeable difference in 2.6 to 2.8.

If you are only using the space you specified on your current devices, then you would be fine with the base model 13 rMBP w/ 128GB, but if you feel you'd need the space get the 256GB.

The difference between 2.6GHz and 2.8GHz will not be noticeable in pretty much all of the tasks you'll throw at it. Day to day use, its a waste of money and battery life.

You have an iMac and a mba. You dont know how much storage you will use or if 0.2 ghz make a difference.

Why are you buying another macbook?

MBA is broken and I needed a portable computer for school. 1 question... 2013 MBPr 256GB or 2014 MBPr base line (both are same price at bestbuy at the moment...)

Yes it is!

In my late-2013 rMBP, I went for the 512GB just to avoid the inferior SanDisk 256GB SSD, which is quite a bit slower than its samsung counterpart.

512GB and 1TB variants are Samsung only.
