Hallo people! Some days ago I started my mac but I only got a big question mark on the screen. Apple service told me that the ssd is dead. I was thinking of replacing it myself and found good options like Transcend (with proper connector).

Anyway, before doing anything, lately all I get at startup is a black screen even though the apple on the back turns on.

Is it still worth to try a new ssd or is it something else at this point? thanks!

Older SSDs did that, so replace let this be a lesson for you and always have a backup!
