Hi, i am about to trade in my MBA 2013 for a MBPR 2014 (the one with iris pro, no dedicated Graphics)

i am concerned about heat/noise issues because i had read some mixed reviews about this regarding to the 15" mbp....

my MBA is completely silent in most day use, but it has a i5 U dual core processor, and it barely gets hot so it is a concern for me

pd: i had a MBP 15" 2011 with an i7 and and 6750 and although it was powerful it was also very hot while running

thank you

If your use case is to remain the same then it'll be quiet and cool if your workload doesn't heat up a MacBook Air then the 15 inch rMBP won't break sweat and should remain quiet and cool.
