Greetings MacRumours People

This is my first post here. I signed up as I remembered the brand from some great content that helped me with other Mac related issues down through the years.

My 2015 MacBook Pro has recently been showing signs of deterioration, possibly linked to the update to Mojave, possily linked to water spilled on the keyboard :(

My battery status is currently replace soon.

When I leave the laptop closed, in my bag or out on my desk without being connected to the charger it gets extremely hot. When I open it the battery is drained. My main concern is the overheating when travelling with the laptop in my bag, but the battery drain is also annoying.

I have run a command in terminal and attached the results and I was hoping someone could help me decipher what the problem may be.

The command run was:

Code:
pmset -g log

Perhaps there is a better one to run?

Any help is most appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your MacBook Pro and the problems you're experiencing. However, as you probably know water damage can rear its ugly head immediately or after sometime. The logic circuitry which controls the charge, recharge of the battery may have been damaged from the water spillage.

Did you open up your MacBook Pro after the spillage and try to dry it out? You might want to open it now and see if there is any corrosion damage. Instructions are at www.ifixit.com. Good luck and let us know.
