Hey all

Is it possible to reduce the resolution of a MacBook retina to 1980x 1080 as I have some wallpaper at that res which looks blurred on the default res.

That is one of the scaled options on the 15" rMBP. However, note that the way it does that is by drawing the image at 4x the scaled resolution and scaling it back down. So by switching to a lower resolution it reduces performance.

It's 1920x1200.

Wow. It seems incredibly silly to change resolution BECAUSE of a wallpaper...

Surely it will be easier to re-size the wallpaper in a decent image manipulation app without losing the quality?

Or searching google for a higher resolution?

I doubt apples scaling is any better than Photoshops bicubic resize
