Anyone avail of this deal yet? So they are discounted at $200 off plus the educational discount of $100. So basically, we can purchase a 13 inch retina for $1199.00. That's a great deal but I was waiting for the Haswell release. I used to have the initial release of the 15 inch retina but ended up returning it due to various problems despite the returns and exchanges.

I'm thinking of buying one now and return it before it reaches 60 days since I'm a premier member.

Just wanted to share with you guys a great deal but if I do end up getting one, will be playing the display lottery once again. Great! :)

I just came back from Best Buy a few hours ago! There was a special going on that along with the $300 off, the purchase of a 15" rMPB would get you a free apple tv. I jumped on this and got myself a 2nd ATV that I can sell in the future!

Got the 13 inch rMBP with this deal. $1199 total tax free is something I couldn't pass up.......

This machine is AWESOME btw!!!!!!

I bought the 13" rMBP at the apple store where I told them @ the $300 off deal at BestBuy. Apple matched BB's price and I also got apple care for $183. sweet..

You got an Apple store to price match?!

Usually they just suggest you buy it from that store I thought.

I guess it depends on the associate you deal with. FYI, the $300 off promo is now over for the 13 inch retinas. It's now only $100 + $100 off.

I bought the rMBP at the Apple Store on Saturday when BB still had the $300 off deal going on. The apple store employee confirmed BB's deal on their website and then had the store mgr ok the price match.

Even with $300 off MSRP and a free Apple TV, I couldn't bite this past weekend, knowing that for $1600 you can get a refurbished form Apple and the Haswell models will likely be out in a few months. That said, $450 off and I'll jump.
