I just purchased my first Macbook pro and it is the late 2012 with retina display. It came with 128gb of SSD and I also purchased the 480(512gb) replacement from OWC. Just wondering what the actual correct size pentalobe screw driver I would need is? I have looked multiple places and each time I get contradicting answers. The OWC website recommended a tool kit which came with the p5 size, while I read a few places that the newer Macbook pro's with retina from late 2012 took a p4. Let me know if you have any experience with this, below are a couple of the links to what I am finding that say they are compatible.

This one works like a charm

It's a P4 / TS4 (or 1.2 mm).

fix it says p5, while and everyone else p4

for the late 2012 macbook pro.... ifix it says p5, while and everyone else p4....

also the tear down of the lower case says there are two sizes of pentalobes!

2.3 and 3.0....what is going on here? i want to clean the inside of my Book, do i have to buy an entire set just to open the hood?

I recommend a toolkit from iFixit. you not only get the screw driver set needed to open up the MBP but the tools to work on your laptop once the case is opened up
