So I finally got a Retina Screen that was made by Samsung but it seems like the screen is not uniform? The lower part of the screen seems to be darker than the top, the right side cooler than the left...

Is anyone else having the problem?

Also, if I decide to get the screen replaced, and I'm still in my 14 day return period, can I return the product if I still am not satisfied in the end?

Almost the same for me, though my left side is cooler than my right side. Samsung display and just what you described.

Do you think that uniform screens really exists ?
Maybe most of people does not see this "little" tint difference...
Do you know if a replacement at the genius bar is fast ?

I voted samsung uniform, although my screen is slightly warmer on a very small portion of the left side, it's really not noticeable. Looks balanced in everyday and professional use.

All though a photo taken by a smartphone won't give any scientific results, I sure would love to see someone who claims they got a uniform screen to post a picture or two.

My mid 2012 15" rMBP screenshot.
It has a first generation LG screen and (to my eyes) gives perfect whites and completely uniform brightness.
There is no IR evident at all.

A screenshot of your screen is not going to do much good.

Lol, neither is a iPhone pic :)
Take it from me, my screen looks perfectly uniformly bright and has no change in whiteness uniformity.

Like I said, the iPhone picture is not going to be any scientific evidence, but it will give us a comparison between a tinted screen and a uniform screen.

Samsung - pretty darn good

Mine is not uniform when displaying the all black log in screen, with some bright areas.

Once the desktop is loaded the screen looks perfect. Note, the old 1440x900 screen on my 2007 MBP had better color, at least to my eyes, but the current retina seems to use a more accurate color profile.

One of the best display's I've had on a laptop.

Like mine : warm on left and cooler on right...
Did you try to display a black screen with full back light ?

Not yet, but I could try tonight.

----------

how i test in maveriks the display panel brand?

Open the Terminal and type the following command:

ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6

If the result starts with the prefix "LP" you got an LG display, if it starts with "LSN" you got a Samsung display.
