Hi,
Please see picture to see which Macbook I have.
When I stream video using chrome, my computer heats up and the fan starts blasting very loudly. Also when I'm streaming video on chrome that is more than 720p, the video lags a lot. When I use safari it is fine so I don't think it is my computer that is the problem rather the way my computer works with chrome.
Does anyone know a way to fix this or if there even is a solution?

Thanks,
Frankie

It's Chrome, that causes this behaviour. It's a shame that it still hasn't been fixed by Google. Until they do, I stick to Safari. :)

Chrome is the problem.

Never use Chrome on Mac. It just sucks. It's a resource hog and a power drain.

Did you use YouTube center for auto config, if you do that is the problem.

Simply TRY another and see..

Which browser do you recommend for mac? I happen to like the UI of chrome.

The 'simple solution' is to just TRY another Browser.. if it works better, then YOU decide why you would change from Chrome, or if you would at all _ I happen to like Firefox, but it is also NOT always my friend!!

Then you have a choice....

You either have the UI you like and run hot and loud due to terrible coding on the OSX version of chrome, or you use safari or another browser and have a cool and quiet experience with a UI you aren't so keen on. You could try opera it has a great reputation....

Opera is just as much of a resource as Chrome, because they're both Chromium.

Yup, unfortunately everyone nailed it. I use all three of the major browsers for different things. Most of the time I am in Firefox.
