On sites such as Google and the Flash Player download site, the computer is being recognized as a Linux machine, therefore, it only gives me the Linux version of the program I need to download.

I have NEVER had ANY version of Linux on this computer, only OSX.
Currently: 10.6.8

I dual boot windows, but on a seperate partition.

What sites?

Linux and Mac are based on Unix, so thats probably what its referring to.
