I have the 2009 macbook pro (3.06GHz, 4 GB ram, anti-glare screen 15'). Last week I upgrade the standard harddrive with a 120gb SSD from OCZ. The boot up time and launch app speed went much faster, but when I play game (Killing Floor on Steam for Mac that is) the game is really laggy (and not online of course), and loud fan occur shortly after game start. This never happened before, it used to be really smooth and no fan noise. I don't think it's the SSD that's causing the problem, so what could be causing the problem? Loud fan noise also start when I browse for a while, which also never happened before.
I am on 10.6.7 if that matters, is there anything I can do to help? Or is this a sign that I should upgrade to the new maxed out quad core MBP? (I really want to use it for another year before upgrading)
