Hi there,

I just run an old Myst 3D on my macbook pro form the PC side and it warms up really too much, I am affraid it could melt!

Is it normal ? I heard that an application can boost the fans for better cooling, but with bootcamp on XP is it still possible ?

thanks to let me know !

Processor and graphic intensive applications are bound to heat up the 1" thick MacBook Pro quite easily.

If the temperatures are within the thermal threshold set by the manufacturer, there should be no apparent danger of it melting ;)

SpeedFan should be able to control the fan speed in Windows.

try to raise one edge of the laptop off the table, should help things, two erasers would do the trick

Mine did the same thing, may want to invest in a laptop cooler. Or maybe just keep a fan on the desk blowing into the direction of the laptop.
