hi, i have a santa rosa 2.2 ghz macbook pro, and today after upgrading to latest firmware i noticed black vertical stripes on the screen. I saw many threads on forums regarding the same issue, however all of the laptops that had that issue were penryn macbook pro and the problem could be solved be restarting the computer, or turning the screen off . I tried all of that but those lines are permanent .

My macbook pro is out of warranty so i cant ask apple for help. The only exception is if it was related to the graphic card, which they are offering three years warranty for free, but i dont think its related to the graphic card though.
Any ideas?
