Macbook Pro Santa Rosa screen flicker

So I've read this on the Apple forums, but have found no answer so perhaps someone here can help?

After the 10.5.6 update on my MBP i noticed every time I sent a message on iChat or scrolled down in my browser, the screen flickered. I noticed other people were having this problem after the update.

Does anyone else on here have the same problem or know how to fix it?
