macbook pro screen broken

Hi guys,

I was watching a movie on my macbook pro when the screen froze. Http://postimg.org/image/xna0zt5av/37037adc/

I've restarted it in safe mode, which works, but unfortunately when I restart it normally again it goes back to the frozen screen.

(In safe mode it says there is no airport card installed and it doesn't seem to recognise my usb and my phone.

Please help!!!

A lot of things don't work in safe mode. I wouldn't worry about that.

What model and year MBP?

Might be graphics card issue. Try disabling advanced graphics in Preferences > Energy Saver and/or turn on automatic graphics switching.(depending on your model)

Thanks a million for the quick reply! I'm not 100% sure but I think it's a 2008 model. In preferences it says

Model identifier: MacBook pro 2,2
Processor speed 2,16 GHz

I'm afraid there was no graphics card option

That's actually a 2006 model. Can't understand why it works in safe mode but not normally. Might try creating a new user account and sign in to that if possible. Maybe it's time to head to the apple store. Good luck!
