I've owned my Macbook Pro since Christmas of last year and its been babied ever since. Its never been dropped or anything. But I've recently come across a problem with my screen. Whenever my screen is black I notice something that looks like a smudge. It almost looks like its broken, but when there's another color but black its fine. Its really hard to describe so I attached pictures. Does anyone know what this can be from and will applecare cover it?

I recently had my mbp monitor replaced under warranty for 24 dead pixels. The replacement has something very similar to yours although not nearly as bad. It is elongated across the middle and can only be seen on blacks. It looks like a smudge but it isn't. I love Apple and all but they seriously need to work on there QC. Anyone know what this could be...maybe some kind of backlight bleed through?

Thanks for the help! I think I'm just going to take it into an Apple store and see what they think.
