There seems to be a problem with my macbookPro sometimes it does this

some of the bottom backlights on my screen are not lighting up normally, anyone else has this problem? any suggestions :(

I saw another thread here recently and the person had the same problem; however yours looks a little worse than his. He returned it and is now quite happy.

Do you have an nVidia 8600 GT graphics card? Use System Profiler in Applications > Utilities to check.

GeForce 8600M GT:

Chipset Model: GeForce 8600M GT.

yeap its the 8600:( it just started happening a few days ago... though it recovers after i reboot but still i dont know whats causing this

At least this problem was acknowledged and is covered. The only problem is downtime, which can be a real headache for some.

Dang... unfortunate for you. Don't worry, Apple will fix it quick and speedy. You'll be up and running back to normal soon.
