I bought a macbook pro in july and haven't had any problems until i notice this at the top of my screen this morning. looks like stains or something?
I turned the computer off to see if it would go away since it was just at the top of the screen but when i turned it back on it was still there.
anyone know how i can make it go away?

I you don't want a translucent menu bar turn it of in System Preferences->Desktop & Screen Saver->Desktop Tab->Translucent Menu Bar.

I am pretty sure that is your desktop. The menu bar is translucent. Go to: System Preferences>Desktop and Screen Saver>Uncheck Translucent Menu Bar.
