Macbook Pro Screen Problems

Hi guys,

I have a big problem with the Macbook Pro I'm using. When I don't use my MBP for a day and then switch it on, the OS starts up but when it gets to the Desktop, the screen is either blank/Black or it shows blocks and bars. I added some pics below.

It's broke, probably the graphics card. Genius Bar time.

your graphics card appears to be going. Take it into a genius and see what they say.

It could be a faulty inverter cable as well.
I have had a problem similar to your second photo, opened and closed my MBP several times,
carefully pressed on the left side of screen (direction: from left to right), and it reverted back to normal!
In total, it has occurred three times. I repeated the same actions every time.
So far, have not experienced any issue - currently, it is two month since the last accident.

In any case, bring your MBP to genius. Because, even if your GPU is working,
the replacement inverter cable costs money (around 25$ from eBay),
but genius should give a new cable and replace it for free.
