Any one on here able to replace the outer screen on a MacBook? It's not the actual lcd screen itself...just the outer cover. I see where they sell them on eBay and Amazon but I'm too scared to do it myself.
 
How old is your MacBook? Do you know the exact model Macbook that you have?
Is it one of the older polycarbonate cases, or newer aluminum?

iFixit.com repair guides will tell you that job (depending on which model you have) is classed as either "difficult", or "very difficult". Really finicky. Some of the parts within the display housing are easy to damage accidentally, or if you try to rush the work.
