What about the screen resolution?

Replacing with an exact replacement (glossy instead of matte) is straight forward (see: ifixit.com). Upgrading resolution is harder (use search function, but there is a thread near the top of this forum on just that type of upgrade)

I can't tell you how much because what's available in your area (or what you are willing to buy on ebay) varies.

Search on ebay for "macbook pro lcd" and you will find lots of sellers. Don't buy it uniess you think you can do the work yourself. Or find an Apple service joint and ask them to quote you.

Internet is a great thing, lots of info out there, and you can find it yourself.
