I ordered a 13" MacBook Pro a day after it came out. It still has not shipped with an estimated arrival of June 26th.

It was a 2.53GHz CTO with a 128GB SSD. When I ordered it, it had a 1-2 week estimate. I am kind of anxious to get it at the moment. :D Do you think Apple tends to lean towards the earlier estimate or the later? By the way, I live in New York...if that helps.

Thanks

mI am from the UK, so not sure if my answer will be of help. In the UK, they tend to deliver at the earlier date. I think few guys from the US agree with me. I am waiting for my new MBA, and hoping they will deliver it to the earlier date (19 to 22 June, estimated delivery)

I can tell you my experience on shipping time.

Back in april (this april being 2009) I ordered a 2.66ghz CTO w/ 7200rpm 320gb drive. I placed the order at approximately the first week of april and it arrived on the 14th.

It takes a little over a week. Depends if you ordered before a weekend or the start of a week. I ordered before a weekend so it took a little longer (about 10 days).

It comes by courier.

Does Apple provide updates on the build status...or do they only inform you when the product is shipped out?

i think it depends.

i placed my order on sunday 17 May, and my customised 2.93ghz w/ 320gb @7200 was shipped off to nyc from shanghai via fedex overnight (i chose standard delivery) on tuesday and arrived in my apartment on wednesday, albeit estimated delivery date had been set for 21 may.

Weird! I live in NYC and I ordered two MBPs in the past month, both arriving within three days.

Well the SSD is causing the delay...it isn't a stock model.

I stayed up waiting for this message but it is now preparing for shipment!

On the 5th of june, I was to excited to wait any longer, yes even for the in 3 days coming WWDC. So I ordered a 15" macbook pro 2.93Ghz, 320GB 7.2k rpm. The day of the WWDC, I get a mail from Apple, saying that they have replaced my order with the new 3.06GHz, 500GB 7.2k rpm, and that I will have to pay less for it on top of it. Ofcourse I am happy with that, because other companies would be glad enough to dump their old stuff with foolish customers like me :).

Now, friday I get the message that it's shipped, saturday I check the UPS tracking service, and it's says it'll arrive monday. I was happy ofcourse, couldn't wait to get my macbook. It was shipped from Shangai, and would be in Germany by that time, so it was already quite close to where I live (Belgium). Then suddenly, yesterday in the evening, it says that it has gotten the departure scan in Shangai, and this morning that it has arrived in Korea. Now I don't know how UPS works, but going from Shangai -> Germany -> Shangai -> Korea -> Europe, doesn't really seem like a profitable route.

Here is my UPS tracking information:

According to the information now, I will only get my macbook the 17th now, which is really sad, because obviously, I was really looking forward to my new notebook :).

Anyone else with this "problem"? Or anyone who has a logical explanation? Because maybe I just don't see it? :)

i had once a imac shipped from netherlands to vienna (austria) via helsingfors (finnland) ...

my 17" 3.06 will arrive on tuesday and was shipped from shanghai on 11th june. :D

Status went to "Prepared for shipment":eek::eek::eek:

How much longer?!?!

EDIT: Just curious, on average, how long does it take to ship from China after it is prepared for shipment? Thanks.
