Today I lost internet connection (as always), eventually re-connected and it said "A device on your network is using the same IP address" or something like that. This has happened a few times before.

I went into the router settings and I can see my macbook pro showing up twice with different MAC addresses and internal IPs. Nobody else's computers are showing up twice.

What's the problem?
 
Hi,

did you try this :

- turn off the Mac
- turn off the router

- turn on the router
- turn on the mac ?

(= "power cycle")

Just done that and I can only see it once now. Good, I was getting worried there.
