You guys have always helped me with computer problems, and here we go again!
I had a reminder yesterday morning about an update that was installed, so I allowed my Macbook to restart. It started applying the update, then just shut down about 10% of the way through the progress bar (it is plugged in and battery is 100% charged). Now every time I start it up again, it just does the same, runs a bit of the update and then just shuts down. No error message is displayed. How can I fix this?
I have a time machine backup, but my concern is that if I go to backup and run the updates again at any time, this could happen again. Also, my backup is a few days old, so if I have to roll back is there a way to mount the drive in my laptop and copy over what I'm missing (without having to remove it from the laptop)?
