MacBook Pro Skin + Case Combo?

Does anyone have experience with using a Skin + Case combo for their MacBook Pros?

I just got a 13-inch Pro and bought a Speck SeeThru Smartshell Satin case. However I was thinking of also getting a BestSkinsEver skin (top and bottom) to add an extra layer of protection, but concerned the clips on the case might not snap on due to added stiffness.

Anyone have this and experience any issues?

It seems a little overkill to put a skin under a cover. Do you feel the Speck case will not protect your system? Or perhaps the skin looks better?
