The laptop skin would cover the whole laptop upper case, just like a plastic cover for books this skin could help to protect your laptop from scratches for the skin would serve as the outer layer for your laptop some people uses skin for their laptop to customize their plain laptop design, the link you gave our laptop stickers also called as decals these stickers are also use to customize your laptop or you can even use them to hide your laptop scratch. By the way I do love the snow white sticker.
