Hey everyone, I recently switched to the mac camp, and I am loving it. My new macbook pro is nothing short of amazing.

The one problem I have is the hibernation behavior. Laptops are made to be portable, "on the go". When I close the lid and have to wait for 30 seconds to a minute, thats not exactly "on the go".

I found a terminal command that satisfies my needs, <sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0>, this command will disable the hibernate feature, instead letting the computer just sleep when the cover us put closed.

MY problem is that this seems to be a temporary command...and obviously I want it permanent. To doesn't seem to be correlated with time or restarts, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why the setting spontaneously reverses its-self. Anyone know how to fix this?

It should stick. Your setting is recorded in the com.apple.PowerManagement.plist in the /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration folder, you might want to check that.
