macbook pro sleeping problems

i am currently using a Macbook pro connected to an apple cinema display. The problem is that when i try to put my macbook pro to sleep it will enter sleep mode and immediately after it enters sleep mode it will quit it and resume normal mode. it is like i woke it up... any idea why this is happening?

are there any wireless devices connected to it? any specific programs open? and did this happen before or is this the first time?

all i have is the time capsule. i also have an imac g5 connected to the same time capsule and it sleeps just fine... started happening recently. i tried to put it to sleep before loading any programs and i do not have any programs set to load automatically...
