MacBook Pro SMC Firmware Update

In Software update now for MBP...

The SMC Firmware Update addresses boot issues with the MacBook Pro. The updater application will be installed in the /Applications/Utilities folder and will launch automatically after restart. Please follow the instructions in the updater application to complete the update process.

Whine/buzz fix? havent installed yet.. about to.

nothing has changed for me. still hot, still whining..

Is it just me or are the MBP fans kicking in earlier now... its still cool to the touch but the fans now running... im sure they weren't coming on this early before the update..

Anyone else with an MBP notice this?

It seems they are kicking in earlier. My laptop is sat on a desk and the fans have come on with it just idling. The machine is very hot and the fans don't seem to be doing anything.

Before the fans would only ever come on when I'm playing games.
