I'm not sure what the problem could be here, I fear a blown sound card, but that seems unlikely. I've tried resetting my PRAM, but that didnt help.
The issue:
The sound is completely fine when im just listening to music and browsing the web, but if I launch anything major, mainly a game, and i try to simultaneously play music, or use Skype, Watch a TV show, the sound will start to stutter. The stuttering turns into full on heavy stops, then finally the entire sound turns to heavy abrasive tones like "ZZZZ_ZZZZ_ZZZZ_ZZZZ__ZZZ" you can still somewhat make out what the audio is, but it's 98% these heavy abrasive static noises. If i plug in the headphones, and unlpug them then it does reset the sound, but normally turns back to the hellish fire that is the ZZ_ZZZZ_ZZZZ_ZZZZ.

Any ideas as to what this could be?

Thanks
