I listen to a lot of music when I am on a computer. I heard praises on how great the Macbook Pro 16 2019 speakers sound. To me then do sound Fisher Price audio and I find a lack of bass and hollow sound. They are fine for spoken word during video chats however they lack with any kind of music. I end up using my Bose SoundTouch Mini on Bluetooth and Bose SoundTouch speaker on Airplay which sounds much better.

I guess those who think the speakers sound great listen to compressed 128kbps mp3's.

Have you ever tried common windows pc (hp, acer, asus, etc...)? I do, many, there is no comparison with Mac audio

I have all Bose speakers for TV, Windows desktop and two speakers I use on my phone and MacBook and they blow away the tiny sound the MacBook pushes out.

Of course I have sonos for the whole house too, but it makes no sense to compare them to the audio of my Mac! I have a MBP 13" 2020 and I find that the audio speaker are spectacular!

The comparison you are making is kind of like comparing Bluetooth speakers to Bowers & Wilkins 700 series floor standing speakers pushed by a McIntosh amplifier and then acting shocked that the Bluetooth speakers don't compare to the B&W's. Or alternatively comparing the MacBook Pro's 5600M GPU to the RTX 3090 and then acting shocked that the MacBook Pro cannot outperform the Nvidia.
