Hi, recently I was recording some music through the line in on my macbook pro using garage band. Afterwards I tried to play the recording in garage band and I got a message that said something like "this sound was not played as there are too many real instruments for real time" or something like that.
Straight after the speakers stopped working and every time I tried to play a song there was a loud popping noise and no sound.
I plugged my headphones in and the headphones worked. When I removed them the speakers began working again.
Now from time to time I hear the same popping noise coming from the speakers even when the computer is doing nothing but its much fainter.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
