Hi guys I have been experiencing a bit of a problem trying to get my mac book boot up. In the beginning it was just glitches, managed to get it fixed by restarting a few times. Now it just stopped right at the distorted apple logo.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Thanks

It looks some display related issue, try reboot in recovery mode and run diagnose

I am expecting that OP has a 2011 MBPro, and a typical graphics failure for that hardware generation.
Even if it is not one of those models, your screen shot will mean that your graphics chip is failing/failed.
You will need to replace (or repair, if possible) the logic board.

Yup.

If you see artifacts on boot up and in OS, it's the gpu that has failed.

Or, this is a rare case. Gpu is not being cooled properly, and thermal paste has to be replaced.
