Just some casual observations on MBP start up times after a clean install using Snow Leopard:
1. Wipe HD, fresh install, boot up in 15 seconds or so.
2. Wipe HD, fresh install, update OSX, much slower boot.. didn't count time..
3. Wipe HD, fresh install, migrate user user from back up, nothing on desktop = 45-50 seconds boot up. After login screen, MBP desktop screen appears immediately, it just takes a while to reach login..
Machine runs without hiccups when up and running so im not bothered, was just curious to see what difference the above had..
