Hello,

I have my macbook pro (2010) connected to a 22-inch screen and an apogee duet audio interface. Normal temperatures when I surf are between 60-72°C depending on what I do. Apogee duet boosts the temperature with 10°C almost.

Sometimes I like to play HD movies/series on it. The fans then usually go between 3000-4600 rpm and cpu temperature is around 80-85°C. And when I produce music in logic the temperature is around the same if I use a lot of plugins.

Is this ok? I mean, can the laptop handle this in long-term. I would like to start playing games at a later time as well on it and I assume the temperature will be around 80-85°C there too.

Mine runs around 40C on average. But it will jump to 75C-85C when watching video or gaming. It's perfectly normal.
