Hi I want to connect my 2019 MacBook Pro to my 4K to as a secondary monitor. Not sure which one would be better in quality? or if there’s any other better ways to connect them? I don’t want Airplay due to limitation of 1080p

Lightning to HDMI
USB-C to HDMI

Thanks.

So which one is it? Lol
Lighting ports don't exist on a Mac.

A USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter carries more than just audio and video (you can have an adapter that had an HDMI, USB, and USB-C for power all connected to one USB-C port this way)
A USB-C to HDMI adapter carries only audio and video (which will only be good for plugging into a monitor).

I have a 2019 MBA with a USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter that has USB-C on end connected to my computer (I have two USB-C ports) and the other end has a regular USB (A, I think it's called), an HDMI port, and another USB-C port that my power cord plugs in to.
This means the I need to plug one thing into my computer to connect to power, my monitor, and to a USB device (usually my iPhone or iPad).

I have a 4k monitor that runs great with it, as does my wife.
