Macbook Pro to External Monitors

So I've got a new mid 2017 macbook pro and am loving it. I have 2 27" Dell 1440p monitors that I'm wanting to hook my macbook up to when I'm home however the usbc to hdmi adapter I bought cuts in and out intermitently, I don't know if this is because the adapter I got was an insignia and not an apple product maybe the official apple one works better I don't really know. I was just wondering what you guys think would be the best way to hook it up to both of the monitors. My monitors have a displayport hookup as well I don't know if the connection would be better through that port. Let me know thanks!

Sounds to me like it could just be a faulty adapter. Pretty common with the cheapo knockoffs.

I'm wondering about the same thing as well.

I've read a lot of reviews online about how the 2017 ones (not sure why) have some issues with some type-c adapters.

I figured it out, it was the aftermarket adapter, got an apple one and works like a charm now. Go figure...
